How Are Buyers and Homeowners Reacting To The Early 2019 Market?

We all know how much our local Vancouver real estate market has changed since the latter half of 2018. You hear on the news and read articles online about how it’s now a Buyer’s Market. Prepare Your Home For Sale - "Do It Yourself" Method

Have a small budget for preparing your home for sale? Consider doing it yourself by following the tips I mention in this video. But just keep in mind, usually hiring a professional for more complicated fixes/cleaning is the way to go if you don’t want the stress, is someone who tends to procrastinate or know you won’t have the time for completing the task in a timely manner. If none of those aforementioned things apply to you, then by all means, go at it and have fun getting your home ready for sale.

There are many more things you can do besides what I’ve listed in this video, but it’s a good start. You can always reach out to me if you want more ideas or need recommendations on service providers!

Prepare For Home-Shopping. Speak With A Mortgage Broker First!

Before you dive right into property-hunting, learn how much money you can and will have to borrow before you make that offer on the home of your dreams. You don’t want to be disappointed when the time comes to get approved for a mortgage. The clock will be ticking and the last thing you want to be doing is scrambling around from lender to lender to get that loan!

Take the guesswork out from buying and do your homework prior to shopping. Know exactly what you can afford. The experience will much smoother and more enjoyable!

What Would You Buy? Resale Or Presale?

This topic comes up quite a bit: Buy resale or presale? I list the pros of buying one or the other to give you some food for thought. This video is a useful guide for first time homebuyers and newer investors alike!

I personally think buying either is great — what it really boils down to is what do you value the most? What is your reason for buying in the first place? You want to be a proud owner and showcase it via the interior design of your home? You are sick of renting and having to move around so you want a space soon? Is it to renovate and flip? You have some cash but you don’t want to buy stocks for fear of the market volatility? Watch on!

Side note: I apologize for the sleepy face and somewhat raspy voice. You will know why I have either when you get to the end! LOL
